In this paper, performances of basic Artificial Bee Colony, Harmony Search and Bees algorithms and Improved Bees algorithm were compared on unimodal and multimodal well-known benchmark problems. Effect of problem dimensionality on the performance of the algorithms was investigated and the algorithms were compared to each other in terms of the number of control parameters to be tuned.
